Terms of service

These terms cover your use of Storypop. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Storypop.

Who can use Storypop

Accounts are for adults. You must be 18 or older, or the legal age of majority where you live, to create an account. Children are expected to play with or alongside a grown-up.

Your stories

The questions, hints and messages you write remain yours. By marking a story public you grant other Storypop users permission to view it and to copy it into their own library, and you grant us permission to display it in Explore. Switch a story to Private at any time to stop that.

Videos and YouTube

Storypop does not host, download or modify any video. Videos play through YouTube's official embedded player, so YouTube's own Terms of Service apply to your viewing, and playback depends on the video owner allowing embedding. You are responsible for choosing videos that are appropriate for your child and that you are permitted to watch. Please do not link to material that is unlawful or that infringes someone else's rights.

Community rules for shared stories

Public stories must be suitable for children. Do not publish anything hateful, frightening, sexual, violent, commercial or misleading, and do not include personal information about anyone. Any parent can report a story, which hides it from Explore immediately. We may remove content or accounts that break these rules.

Availability and no warranty

Storypop is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. Features may change and the service may be interrupted. Please keep your own copies of stories that matter to you — the editor's "Download this Story" button saves a story as a file.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, arising from your use of Storypop.

Ending your use

You may stop using Storypop and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Changes

We will update the date at the top of this page when these terms change. Continuing to use Storypop after a change means you accept the new terms.
